Southern Indiana Bluegrass


THE BAND

   Guy Jackson, bassist, brings over 35 years of musical experience to the band. Originally from Bedford, IN, Guy has performed in various bands including jazz, classical and concert as well as Bluegrass.  Guy currently resides in Evansville, IN.
  Chris Rothrock, mandolin, has been around the Bluegrass scene in Southern Indiana for many years.  Chris, starting out in Winslow, IN, has played with various groups including the Pike County Boys, Patoka Valley Boys, and Bluewater Backsplash Grass.   Chris has taken first place in guitar and placed first with the Bluewater Backsplash Grass in contests at the Indiana State Picking and Fiddling Contest..  Chris also builds his own line of custom guitars at his shop in Crossville, IL.
  Jimmy Woolsey, Lead Guitar and Male Vocals, is the driving force behind the Fields of Home sound, and he is the primary composer of the original songs that the band performs.  His songs have been recorded by professional artists such as The Chapmans and Northern Lights.  Jimmy has been a member of various bands including the Patoka Valley Boys and Bluewater Backsplash Grass.  He has performed at various Bluegrass competitions and has taken first place in categories such as Old Time Male Singer, Mandolin and Guitar at competitions  in Indiana and Kentucky.
  Lynna Woolsey, Guitar and Vocals brings the unique touch of harmony and Lead Female vocals that makes the Fields of Home sound.  Lynna has placed in competitions for her singing over the years, including 1st place in Old Time Female Singing at the 2005 and 2006 Indiana State Picking and Fiddling contests.  Jimmy and Lynna currently reside in Petersburg, IN.
